The Kiowa Conservation District is a non-taxing, non-profit special district dedicated to the success of agricultural pursuits through the conservation of natural resources. The District is governed by 11 volunteer supervisors, and serves landowners in Arapahoe, Elbert, and El Paso Counties.
Additionally, the Kiowa Conservation District is responsible for the operations and maintenance of 63 watershed dams located within the Kiowa Creek drainage. All dam structures are greater than 50 years old and require routine maintenance and repairs.
